Happy Fourth of July!

We hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July, we sure did! We have been enjoying our stay in Texas and have been mostly relaxing and playing games which has been just what we needed. Jason made is family famous fajitas for the Fourth and we did purchase some fireworks, mainly little things like sparklers, tanks, teapots - little things we thought Ty would like. Well, he made it through a couple sparklers and then the tank came and he had enough. So, we decided to just come in and enjoy our homeade peach ice cream instead. And to complete the day we went for a walk to enjoy the sunshine which we hadn't seen in days........stopping to smell the flowers.

Everyday is like Christmas at Grammy's

Long story short (or I'll try), Grammy has been up in the attic bringing down some of Jason's toys from his childhood for Ty to play with. She remembered the "Wee Sing" tapes that Amy and Jason had and since found the maker on the internet and purchased some more tapes and songbooks for Ty to add to the two tapes that were actually Amy and Jason's. Grammy was then on the hunt for a tape player and found the cutest one and with headphones too! I think Grammy and Mommy are enjoying them a little too much - "wee" been singing all weekend!

Today we were packing and getting ready to head to Grammy's. As always, I am talking out loud to Ty explaning, directing or just jibbering and I guess sometimes I think he doesn't listen. Well, sure enough he does! I had said that I need to get a hat for the pool and then got busy doing something else and out comes Ty from the closet.....

Here Comes the Rain Again....

We've been too tired of being couped up inside because of all this rain. So, during a brief rain shower yesterday we (really Jason and Ty) decided to have a little fun! No danger present, just fun! There are several pictures here I know, but there were too many good ones not to share!

Happy Father's Day Pappy!

Yesterday Pappy and Nana Betsy came over for some lunch and a belated Happy Father's Day. We barely got a hello with Pappy before Ty grabbed his finger and took him back to his room to get the toys out of his box! For those who don't know, Pappy built Ty his toy box. I must give kuddos because this box holds much more than toys but lots of love, time and sweat and it means more to us than you'll even know. Here's Ty giving Pappy his card and opening his gift for him!

Just a Swingin'

Things have been busy for us this last week and we hadn't really gotten to play outside much, so yesterday we had a nice afternoon just enjoying the backyard.

Tuesday we met the MOPS girls and the kiddos at the splash park. Ty liked the water for only a short while then we were off to play on the trucks, train and jungle gyms. We had such a great time!
