Snow Day!

All week they have been forecasting snow - I never hold my breath. At first it was 1 to 4 inches with Tulsa not really getting that much and last night they started saying 4 to 8 inches. Well, they might just have been right on target this time! I could hardly go to sleep last night because I was so excited - I couldn't wait! We started getting snow this morning, I mean big flakes! Ty couldn't get his snow boots (thanks Grammy!) on fast enough for us to go out and play. I love the snow and I'm so glad Ty loves it too! We had a great time throwing snow (he, more than I), making choo-choo tracks and of course we couldn't not take the lawnmower out for a spin! After a few runs, he realized that going backwards was a little easier as the snow got thicker!!! I could barely get him to come inside he was having so much fun! We'll probably go out again and play when Dada gets home and because I'm sure tomorrow you'd never know it snowed!

Ruff...Ruff

I had to show you our new puppy dog! Aunt Amy got it for Ty for Christmas and he is just the most adorable thing ever! The flopysy ears, the big brown nose and the long tail are just a few of his features and boy, when he gets out of the tub - watch out.....he's wild!!!

Happy Birthday Pappy!

Last week we went over to Pappy's to celebrate his birthday. Nana "B" had a great party planned, with a wonderful dinner, a neat design to the birthday cake and Alexa and Ty played with Pappy like he was goin' outta style! Let's just say Ty slept so good that night, I'm sure Alexa did too! Of course, we couldn't go over to Pappy's and not get out the "boy-yo" (front-end loader) no matter how COLD it was!
leaves work just as well as dirt does

Head that way, Pappy!

That's my son - mouth wipe open and full of food!

The little boy on the horse is Pappy!

The End - of yet another season!

I'm not sure how it is at your house, but when college football is over for the season it is quite sad around here - we are left wondering what to do with ourselves. At least we have a few more weeks of Pro-football, that will give us a little comfort but it is going to be a long wait until August! But, we'll be waiting!!!! The night OU was getting ready to play Ty got excited as well and wanted to warm-up just like the boys on T.V. Dada couldn't be more proud!

Remember to hold on to the ball!

Are you ready?
Why is it so dark in here?
Do I have this on right?
Here we go!

Let's play some ball!

Okay, that's enough!

Headed to Branson

Friday morning we headed off to Branson for our mini-vacation. Unfortunately it was without Larry, Amy and Ashlee. Larry was still sick so they just headed on back to Kansas City. We were sad that they couldn't make it but were still going to go and make the best of it! We had several things already planned. We wanted to make it to Silver Dollar City to see the tree and all the beautiful lights, the Dixie Stampede and of course hit some of the outlet malls! Our first stop was in Ozark for lunch at Lambert's (home of the flying rolls). We were able to met up with Keith, Jason's college roommate, for lunch and a quick visit. When we arrived Friday afternoon we checked into the hotel, went and purchased our Dixie tickets and headed to Silver Dollar City to be there when they turned on the lights. It was awesome - COLD, but awesome! We rode the train, of course and strolled around soaking up the cool mountain air and all the beautiful lights! Friday during the day I had to clean out Ty's eye of what I thought was just sleepy, didn't think too much about it, but I should have known. We were awoken in the middle of the night to Ty screaming frantically, understandably, with his eye completely matted shut. I called the doctor's office (who luckily is open on Saturday mornings) and the nurse said it sounded like "pink-eye" and we should get to the minor-emergency clinic for medicine. Okay, the third now to get sick. For my first minor-emergency experience - this was a piece of cake! The whole thing - including wait time lasted about an hour and a half or maybe less. Needless to say, we got the medicine and went on our merry way. Back to Silver Dollar City that afternoon to catch the last day and hit the things we weren't able to on Friday. All is well until late Saturday, early Sunday morning - I was now the NEXT to get sick. I was so sick all night that we had to pack it in and head back home. Thank goodness we were able to refund our Dixie tickets, but I just felt awful to cut our trip short and ruin everyone else's time. Jason thinks it was food posioning - whatever it was - was awful! The only good news is that since I had absolutely nothing in my stomach I was able to feel baby girl's every move! We all really could have done without all this sickness (and so strange that each person had something different) and I guess we need to count our blessings that it wasn't all at the same time and nothing too serious! - So, after all that you'd be surprised to know that I didn't get many pictures - but here are a few.

Thanks Pappy and Nana B for the suitcase!

Ty was too busy flirting with the girl across from him to smile for his Mama!
(get used to it, right?)

Swim Time

Larry, Aunt Amy and Ashlee were scheduled to stay a couple of days here and then head with us to Branson on Friday for a mini-family vacation. They stayed at the Radisson just a few miles away which had an indoor water park. Thursday we asked Ty if he wanted to go swim with Ashlee and he couldn't get his swim trunks on fast enough! Jason and I thought this would be another go round like at Grumpy's pool, but this took a completely different turn. Ty loved it! I think maybe because of all the small kiddie slides, the toys and the water was never above three feet. He was in complete control, could walk around and just had a blast. Grammy, Aunt Amy, Jason and I all enjoyed watching Ashlee and Ty play in the pool! Yes, we are missing someone and that would be Larry. He was the second to get sick. He spent most of the day in the hotel room trying to shake the bug. Here are a few pictures from our adventure at the pool, these are courtesy of Aunt Amy!

I thought this was just a kiddie slide!
