Running through the sprinkler

Ty is loving the sprinkler more and more, its not as scary as it used to be but he'd still like for one of us to run through with him. I happen to love these two facial expressions more than the action itself.

Great Friends and Good Food!

Melanie is a really good friend of Jason's from high school. We met up with her in Stillwater yesterday for lunch at Joe's. Their lives have gone in a million directions since school but they've managed to stay in touch which I think is really uncommon and something to be cherished. I had talked to Melanie on the phone several times but had never gotten to meet her until yesterday. We enjoyed the good food, the visit and walking a bit around campus. I got to hear a little into their lives while they both went to school here. The stadium was open, so we decided to take Ty in for a peek. (I'm disappointed in myself - I forgot my camera!) I think he said "WOW" at least 50 times. Then we thought we'd show him Gallagher-Iba since we were right there too, Daddy told us several things about his time there and the construction challenges, but Ty was really distracted with the amount of steps and I think if we let him - he would have climb each and every one! For all you Pokes, you'd be proud of us - we didn't leave Stillwater without buying Ty an "OSU" shirt. His very first one!

Squeaky Clean

Ty's growing up. I'm guilty of still treating him like a baby and thinking he needs me to do just about everything for him. Seems like every other day I have been asked to step aside and let him do things on his own, like shampooing and rinsing his own hair.

I Scream, You Scream!

Pat and Larry were visiting Nana this weekend and invited us to Henryetta for a visit and dinner. Both Grandmothers were eager for Ty to get there so they could take him for ice cream (mainly Pat!). Ty picked out strawberry for himself but was glad to eat all the cherries out of Nana's and take a few bites from Pat! Ice cream wasn't the only thing sweet around here!

No need for a napkin, this time!

Boys will be boys!

Keith, Melissa and J.D. came to visit from Missouri this week! It's a good thing that J.D. can hold his own. When the boys got down on the floor, the rough housing began! I'm not sure that Ty knew what to do at first with someone smaller than he, but he quickly figured it all out! We all had a great time and we wished we had more....

What a cutey pie!

Ty says, I'm takin' you down!

and, again....

Lots a fun!

Lots of fun was had at Grumpy's house on Sunday afternoon. The sun was shining on us which seemed like time for a dip in the pool!

Hummm.....a snake!

Just relaxing!

Trying to splash Mom!

Never too big to be a baby!

Bella's turn to be the baby!

Happy Noises

We received an overwhelming response to the video posted earlier. I thought you might like to relive another baby moment. Ty was just four months old. Enjoy....

What a day!

We were invited to the Grand Opening of a new housing development in Tulsa by our friends Stephanie and Clint on Saturday. (Newly engaged I might add - congratulations!!!) We had such a great time with the inflatable jumps and slide, the snowcones, and most importantly the BA Fire Department stopped by and Ty was in hog heaven! He got to see all around the truck and sit in both the back and front seats!!!

I think he was using his own siren!

He's ready to go!

Dinner with the whole gang!!

This week we met Grumpy and the gang for dinner at Osaka. Usually all the kids do great except this time Bella and Ty weren't up for the "fire". Minnie asked the chef if he could skip the fire, he said he would, but that didn't cut it.... Minnie then asked again if he could tell them "no fire" so they could hear it from him. He obliged with "no fire, no fire". It was a great dinner with the whole family!

The Cousins (Ty, Bella and Alice) making their wishes and throwing their pennies!

I love this one....Bella's pouty face, Alice posing sweetly and Ty ignoring me (as usual!)

A trip down memory lane

I am working with Photobucket (thanks Leanne) on posting videos and this is my test. This was taken from our digital camera and when I emailed them out no one could open them, so I saved several on a disc and thought one day I'll figure out how. Well, that day is now, two years later. This all would have been nice when we were down in the islands and everyone wanted to hear Ty talking. As I was going through all these, it brought a few tears to my eyes. Our baby is now two and these days seem so long ago, but were so very special. This video was taken the first part of July, 2005 and Ty was two and half months old.

"Waa - Waa"

Finally, after so many days Mr. Sunshine found us. On our last full day at Grammy's we pulled out the hose to play in the water. After packing his swim trunks on Tuesday I don't think he was going to let us get away without getting wet!

Watch out!

He'd been waiting to get Grammy!
Wait a minute....I don't fit in here

"Boulio"......"Boulio"

Or however you say it.....

This is Ty's word for "lawnmower". And when its going or when he hears it - he's glued to it. Grammy's lawn guys came Friday morning to mow the lawn and I don't think Ty moved from the door. Ahh....the little things in life.....but quickly sidetracked by a book and playing "horsey" with Nana.
